Which path to take?

Multifrequency or Veldspar mining Crystals. That's the question.

I've been trying hard to avoid the industrial skills. After all carebears are boring right?
Seems like I failed. So what to do now?

Settling in I've acquired the skills to pilot a hulk (doesn't take that long), and I've been flying one for quite a while now. With the main idea being that it's temp.

Now The Corp suddenly shows demands like the needs for POS fuel, and the natural industrialist that I am, I started looking into the needs to mine ice. Figured that be something I could easily do at work...
First off, no. The battlefield have changed and high sec isn't really that safe, and Ice mining is some what a thing that the griefers are preying on. So it takes vigilance to do now a days. Also POS fuel have changed...
Now it's something called Fuel blocks, and they need to be build, plus it takes other components then what is found in the Ice cubes.

So reassess the skill plan....

My plan still is to reach the drake and ultimately the Navy Raven missile spam mission whoring to finance everything. Put that is now put on hold. For what you may ask...
Indy skills. Lots of indy skills.
My primary goal will be to build fuel blocks. I figure that's a good place to go from, and they are do able. Whether I can sell the blocks on the marked or internally time will tell.
So what is needed?

[Refining] V (refining V + Refining Efficiency V)
[Ice Harvesting] V
[Mining upgrades] V
[Hydromagnetic Physics] IV
[Ice Processing] V
Some 2 months For mining and refining the Ice cubes...

[Remote sensing] III (Might as well finish it off, right so V)
[Planetology] V (I will do, but that probably won't cut it)
[Command Center upgrades] V (you could do with I, but seriously)
[Interplanetary Consolidation] V (I'm not sure you need it, but better safe then sorry)
[Advanced Planetology] V (Naa, it isn't needed, but why not)
Some 4 months..... For setting down good on the PI marked.

Then you'll need productive skills, but I haven't looked at that yet.
So...
Seems like I'm becoming some sort of strong Indy carebear. I really don't like that, but if that's what will cut the cheese, so be it.
Well it seems like my initial idea with this freebie project has scaled in a direction I didn't anticipate. But on the offhand that might not be such a bad thing.
Do I really want to be a production manager?
I've been doing the paper work for it for quite awhile, but it have never been put to usage.
